Police release illustrations of face reconstructed from skeletal remains of homicide victim found in Comstock Township

COMSTOCK TOWNSHIP — Seeking leads in a unsolved homicide case, Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office has released illustrations of a woman's face reconstructed from skeletal remains found in Comstock Township late April.
Police believe the remains are that of a white women, 35 to 55 years old, who died as a result of "blunt-force trauma."
Officials have no leads on the identity of the woman and hope the illustrations, created by the Michigan State University anthropology department, will result in a break in the case, according to Sgt. Bill Sparrow of the sheriff's office.
The remains were found on April 28 in the 8400 block of East ML Avenue.
She is additionally described as being between 5 foot, 4 inches and 5 foot, 8 inches tall.
There are several area woman who are missing but authorities have ruled out Tammie Briley, Mary Lands or Venus Stewart as being this unidentified woman.
The illustrations show the woman's reconstructed face framed in several different hairstyles.
