I Am Ready for Love and Logic

My neighbor friend and I are going to start taking this parenting class tonight called Love & Logic, I think their classes are nationwide...I've heard great things about it, so I'll let you all know! ;)

Love and Logic is a philosophy founded by Jim Fay and Foster W. Cline, M.D., and is based on the experience of a combined total of over 75 years working with and raising kids. It provides simple and practical techniques to help teachers and parents have less stress and more fun while raising responsible kids. Love and Logic offers many useful techniques that teachers and parents can begin experimenting with immediately. Here are some examples:

* Locking–in sadness or empathy before delivering consequences
* Setting limits with enforceable statements
* Sharing control through lots of small choices
* Building relationships with the One Sentence Intervention
* Neutralizing arguing with the Brain Dead technique
* The Anticipatory Consequence

Love and Logic is easy to use, raises responsible kids, and changes lives.

Using the Radio Actively

If you're part of an activist group, talk radio is one of the most effective ways to reach your audience. The opportunities afforded are unparalleled.

Did you know that there are 2,000 radio hosts in the United States? So, if each one hosts a weekly two-hour program, and has one guest for each hour, then 4,000 guest slots need to be filled weekly.

THE WELL-TRAINED ACTIVIST: My "Creative Maladjustment" Talk

THE WELL-TRAINED ACTIVIST: My "Creative Maladjustment" Talk

Insightful article regarding the need to create peace within ourselves before we are able to bring peace to others.

Just One Moment from Just One Day

"I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do." - Edward Everett Hale

What will you do today?

Will you just make it through or will you make a difference through you?

Just a day, just a person, just a thing...one small thing to do...will you do it?

Will you choose to take and make the time?

Or will you, always busy you, always so much to do, choose to look the other way?

It's okay, they all say...so much to do, so little time, barely making it through...not enough time in the day...not enough time to even pray...not enough time to copy and paste an email, a single email that might forward some life enriching or changing campaign...but, it's okay...there's not enough time in the day......or so you say...

"Each time we stand up for an ideal, or act to improve the lot of others, or strike out against injustice, we send forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centres of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." - Robert Kennedy (7 June, 1966)
